Daffodil Cottage Details

Why Daffodil Cottage? because my Dad (Harry) loved Daffodils he used to buy them for my Mum (Dorothy) through out springtime.

A pretty Dartmoor miner's cottage situated in the Devon village of South Zeal, a friendly peaceful Dartmoor staycation! there are two dog friendly pubs, playing field, skateboard park, tennis courts a well stocked village shop and post office, Dartmoor is a short walk from the cottage where you can wild swim! Daffodil cottage can sleep up to six people in three bedrooms, a king size bed, a small double with under bed storage and two singles one with under bed storage, these beautiful bespoke locally hand made beds were commissioned just for the cottage along with the bedside shelves, coffee table, coat hooks,dining table and chairs in the fitted wardrobes you will find the Iron, ironing board, and clothes dryer, the hairdryer is in the chest of drawers, there is a family bathroom with an electric shower over the bath, take the stairs which have been fitted with child safety gates at the top and bottom. Please note the stairs are steep.

On the ground floor there is a sitting room/dining area, 43” smart TV with satbox, WIFI, in the TV cabinet you will find a selection of board games , books and playing cards , the lounge boasts a fantastic inglenook fireplace including a bread oven, with woodwarm wood burning stove, a basket of logs and kindling will be provided, the kitchen is well appointed with a fridge freezer,washer dryer, kettle , toaster, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen stable door takes you to the secret detached garden just follow the sign! Once in the fully enclosed garden you will find a dining set, rattan garden furniture, and sun loungers , a BBQ and a pot belly heater, a few outdoor games one being swing ball, there is a washing line available if needed.

There is a travel cot (no mattress or bedding supplied), high chair, changing mat, a selection of plates,bowls,cutlery and beakers for the younger guests. Stored in the fitted wardrobe is the ironing board, iron and the clothes airer please do not cover the electric radiators. The hair dryer will be in the chest of drawers.

There is parking outside the cottage with additional free car parking two minutes walk away.

Daffodil cottage has a no smoking no Vaping policy.
